A boil is a type of skin infection usually starts from a follicle of hair. The symptoms of boil start when the infected area turns red and a tender lump develops. There are many places for boil to occur such as neck, face, armpits and buttocks. After 4-7 days, the lump starts turning white as pus collects under the skin.

Carbuncle is the condition when several boils appear in a group and it a boil appear on the eyelid then it is called a sty.

In order to decrease the pain and to draw the pus to the surface, try to soak your boil in warm water and apply warm compresses regularly.

When the boil starts draining, use mild anti bacterial until all the pus is gone. Try to wash your infected area two to three times a day until the wound heals.

Remember, avoid every thing that can make your infection worse means do not pop the boil with a needle.
