There are many factors that decides, which moisturizer is best for your skin type, your age and whether you have specific conditions, such as acne. Here are some tips on how to choose best moisturizer according to your skin type:

- IF YOUR SKIN IS NORMAL:- Meaning of normal skin is - neither too dry nor too oily. Therefore, in this case you have to maintain your skin's natural moisture balance in order to do so, try to use a water-based moisturizer witha light, nongreasy feel, enriched with lightweight oils like acetyl alcohol, or silicone-derived ingredients, such as cyclomethicone.

- IF YOUR SKIN IS DRY:- In order to maintain or restore moisture of your skin choose a heavier oil-based moisturizer that contains urea or propylene glycol — chemicals. If your skin is cracked then try to choose oils. Oils helps prevent evaporation process and also oils have more staying power than creams do.

- IF YOUR SKIN IS OILY:- Though your skin is oily but it still needs some moisture. Use mild moisturizer after washing your skin with products that remove oils and dry out the skin, but always prefer water based products, labeled "noncomedogenic," if you are with oily skin.

- IF YOUR SKIN IS SENSITIVE:- Sensitive skin is mush prone to skin irritations, redness, itching or rashes. Therefore, try to choose a mild product free of allergens, such as fragrances or dyes, and is specifically designed for sensitive skin.

- IF YOUR SKIN IS MATURE:- Maturity or aging is responsible for dry skin because of poor functioning of oil producing glands. In order to keep your skin soft and well hydrated, choose an oil-based moisturizer that contains petrolatum as the base, along with lactic acid or alpha hydroxy acids. These ingredients helps maintain moisture.
