Tips for skin care in winter


Summer is going and winter in coming, now what to do?

Winter season brings many skin related problems with it. Most common skin problems in winter are chapped lips, dry skin, T-zone and itchy elbows.

Here are some tips for skin care in winter:

- Avoid taking hot water showers as, water removes the natural oils from your skin more quickly than warm or cold water.

- Try to limit your bath time period and use warm water rather that going for hot steamy water.

- Try to use mild soaps such as ivory. Detergent based sops are too harsh for your skin especially in winter season and may irritate sensitive, chapped skin.

- Use moisturizer in order to soothe or prevent chapped skin. Always try your best for selecting good, mild and non comedogenic products, which won't clog your pores. Try your best to keep your skin hydrated from inside means drink plenty of water.

- Shaving is responsible for making your skin irritated, especially when it's already dry. Try to use good quality lubricant such as shaving cream, when you shave. Shave in the direction that hair grows.

- Use sunscreen in order to protect your skin from sun because up to 80 percent of the sun's rays can penetrate light clouds, snow, and fog. Over time that exposure can lead to moles, wrinkles, and skin cancers. Use sunscreen with SPF = 15 with ultra violet A abd ultra violet B protection.

- It is well known that out lips don't have oil glands, so they can dry out more easily than any other body parts. Therefore, give your lips extra protection and care by following some simple steps:

- Avoid licking your lips in order to prevent them from drying.

- Use lip balm with SPF = 15

- Use humidifier in your home.
