Avocado for skin care
Avocado or Alligator Pear is one of the most useful ingredients when it comes to our daily skin care routine. An avocado is rich in fat as well as protein. It is loaded with many healthy nutrients such as foliate (folic acid), vitamin B6, iron, copper and magnesium. For healthy glowing skin, you can also use it in the form of salad. Avocado is loaded with vitamins like A, D, and E which has penetrating qualities to improve your skin. Its oil is also very useful in removing any sun damage or age spots. It helps soften the skin and provides a moisturizing effect and works great on damaged, undernourished and dehydrated skin.
Here are some simple avocado recipes for your skin care:
For puffy eyes:
- Use avocado slices on your eyes and relax with it for next 20 minutes.
Eye Cream
- For making an eye cream mix 5 drops of almond oil + 3 ripe slices of avocado.
- Blend this mixture.
- Dab it around your eyes.
- Wait for 5 minutes then rinse.
Or
Mix 1/4 cup avocado oil + 1/4 cup aloe vera gel (another eye cream recipe)
Facial Mask for dry skin
- Mash ½ avocado.
- Apply it on your face.
- Leave it for 15 min. and rinse it off with warm water.
Another avocado- dry skin recipe
- Make a paste by mixing ½ ripe avocado + 1 tsp vegetable oil.
- Apply this paste, after cleaning your face.
- Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.

- Make a paste by mixing 1/4 peeled & smashed avocado +1 egg white +2 tablespoons oatmeal + 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
- Apply it on your hand.
- Wait for 20 minutes before rinsing.
- Use it on a regular basis.
Facial Scrub
- Take a small bowl.
- Mix 2 tablespoons of flax seeds and 1/2 mashed banana.
- Scoop the mixture and add 1/2 avocado peel while scooping.
- Massage your face with this mixture.
- Rinse it with warm water.
